Configure Prebid UserSync

Prebid user sync enables bidders to synchronize user identification information with the publisher's website, allowing them to deliver more relevant ads based on the user's preferences. Through the Prebid UserSync settings, Prebid lets publishers determine how bidders will interact with their website and the user information. For more information, visit the Prebid docs.

HTL BID provides the following UserSync configuration options:

  • Syncs Per Bidder: The maximum number of sync that can be done for each bidder in an auction
  • Allowed Syncs: Whether to allow images, iFrames, or both. Images tend to be more lightweight, while iFrames are heavier because they can load javascript.

A considerations before modifying UserSync settings β†’ Trustworthiness of the bidder before allowing iFrames. If iFrames are allowed, the bidder gets access to load additional elements on the page that can lead to malware/bad content.
