Enable Consent Management Platform Config
To enable the CMP config
- Navigate to “Tech Config > Setup Options”
- Click the “Consent Management” checkbox

Configuring “consent signal expectation outside CA and GDPR areas”
Typical CMPs provide the USP and TCF signals where required. However, some CMPs also provide those signals when NOT required. Often this behavior is configurable within the CMP user interface.
This setting must match how your CMP behaves:
- Don’t request any consent signals from CMP
- Request TCF (EU) and USP (CA) signals from CMP
- Request TCF (EU) signal only from CMP
- Request USP (CA) signals only from CMP

This option should be set to “External” unless your HTL Technical Account Manager has told you to change it.
