HTL BID allows overriding the default version of Prebid with a specific version of your choosing.
To compile your ad code using a specific version of Prebid
- Navigate to “Header Bidding > Prebid Configuration”
- From the “Version” dropdown menu, choose “Exact Version”
- In the “Exact Version” type, type the version number you want to build
Default and Latest versions
“Default” is the recommended value for most publishers. This means that your ad code will be compiled using a stable version of Prebid. Unless you require specific features that were released in the last 2-4 weeks, HTL suggests that most publishers choose the “default” version of Prebid. The default is a version that has been tested by HTL staff and is known to be stable, but it may not include the very newest modules and adapters.
You can also choose “latest” to get the cutting-edge version of Prebid. Choosing “latest” corresponds to the “master” branch in Prebid Github. Use this cautiously, because the “master” branch is not guaranteed to be stable, and you may encounter bugs or other issues. HTL recommends that most publishers choose “default”
Or as mentioned above, you can choose “exact” in order to test features in a specific version of Prebid.
