HTL BID can help you measure the effect of Chrome 3rd Party Cookie Deprecation
There are 2 important steps to enable this reporting
- Enable the measurement module in HTL BID
- Configure GAM reportable key-values to track results
Enable the Cookie Measurement Module in GAM
- First, navigate to the Tech Services screen
- Under “Measurement & Blocking”, choose “Cookie Measurement”
- Next, in the sidebar, expand the “Measurement & Blocking” section
- Input the name of the GAM Targeting Key that you want to use for measurement. Unless you need a specific key-name, use the default key-name of
cexp_group
- Click “Save & Build”
- Deploy your new revision
Configure GAM key-values to track results
After enabling the measurement module in HTL BID, follow the steps below to create the necessary key-values in GAM.
- Login to GAM
- Navigate in the sidebar to Inventory > Key-values
- Click New key-value
- Set Name = cexp_group (much match key-name chosen in HTL BID UI)
- Set Value Type = Predefined
- Set Report on values = Include values in reporting
- Click the “New Values” button
- Input the following values, each on a new line
- Click “Save”

Note, it typically takes 2-4 hours before a new targeting key will begin to appear in GAM reporting.
